Suspension Repairs & Adjustment
To maintain proper control of your vehicle, all the wheels need to be in contact with the road at all times. This is the job of the suspension system–to maximize the friction between the tires and the road’s surface so that your vehicle handles well and drives comfortably. “Suspension” also refers to how the vehicle’s weight is distributed to the front and rear springs, as it is the springs that support the body of the car. The up-and-down movement that the suspension creates is mitigated by shock absorbers.
When the suspension is not well-balanced, these springs are subjected to uneven levels of stress, and you can feel the car handling differently. Worn steering, suspension, and drive line components can cause noise, vibration, premature tire wear, misalignment, and potentially hazardous driving scenarios.
At MOTEC, we provide several car and tire alignment services, such as an alignment check, standard alignment, steering and suspension inspections, and replacing and repairing any worn parts in these systems. To prevent suspension issues, you should follow the manufacturer’s guidelines for scheduled maintenance.
