The AC system in your car works by removing the heat from inside your car to the outside. To do so, the AC relies on a compressor, condenser, evaporator, pressurized refrigerant, and valves and hoses, which are all controlled electronically, making it one of the most intricate and complicated systems in a vehicle. When there are leaks or contaminants in the system, the car does not cool efficiently. Our technicians at MOTEC can check your air conditioning system for leaks due to worn seals, hoses, and o-rings, and we can recharge the freon (or other refrigerant) in your vehicle.

Please note that checking for refrigerant in your own vehicle without a license is illegal! Refrigerants such as R-12 (Freon) and R-134a (tetrafluoroethane) react with ozone, so they are tightly controlled by the EPA because of their climate change contributions.
